John Maxwell said it best, “Everything rises and falls on leadership.”
Serving as chair of a church leadership team is a high and holy calling, yet one very few feel equipped for. The ECC, in partnership with the Pacific Southwest and Pacific Northwest Conferences, has developed a one-day training for Church-Chairs, Vice-Chairs, and those who are expected to take on one of these responsibilities in the near future. The Northwest Conference is excited to bring this training to our region.
The training is intended to provide a strong foundation for Lay Leaders who fulfill one of these key roles on their Leadership Team. We want to ensure board chairs are resourced in this role, so that Lay Leaders can work in partnership with pastors to move the mission of the church forward in healthy ways.
The training is available to up to two people from a single church who serve as Church-Chair, Vice-Chair, or anyone who will be assuming one of these roles in the NWC. There is no registration fee for attending the one-day training. All travel and lodging costs, however, are the responsibility of each attendee or church. Suggested hotels will be provided for those who require/desire a Friday night stay.
