Our Northwest Conference Annual Meeting Celebration, held each spring, remains a highlight of our shared ministry, as we celebrate what God has done through our churches and affiliated ministries. We hope representatives from each church can join us (either in person or online), as this will be an important time to remember God’s faithfulness as we cling to the hope we have in Christ.
Psalm 126:3 “The Lord has done great things for us, and we are filled with joy.”
Our God is faithful. And God has always been present and at work in communities that honor and follow the Lord. Despite hardships, as recipients of God’s grace, we have infinite reasons to celebrate and be glad. Throughout the NWC Annual Meeting Celebration, we will reflect on how God is at work through our churches and ministries, encourage one another as we serve faithfully, and look forward with hope as we lean in to God’s abundant mercy.
Pastors, the Ministerial Association gathering on Thursday afternoon and Friday morning is for you. You can look forward to encouraging testimonies from ordination candidates, opportunities to learn and grow in ministry and fellowship with other pastors, while also conducting the business of the ministerium. Friday afternoon and Saturday morning’s annual meeting celebration is for everyone – pastors, you are invited to attend alongside your delegates to learn and grow together in our shared mission and ministry. We believe strongly in the value of shared learning and ministry as clergy and lay leaders learn and lead together. Hope to see you there.
With joy!

Leaning into this year’s Annual Meeting Celebration theme, in this workshop we will be unpacking together the fruit of the Spirit, “Joy”. We will look at factors that help sustain and renew our individual and collective joy. We will also explore how joy nurtures faithfulness and resilience as Christ followers and leaders on mission. So join us as we together build up “the joy of the Lord as our strength” for the season ahead of us.
Presenter: Ginny Olson, NWC Director of Youth Ministry
In this seminar, we’ll delve into the distinctive characteristics of Generation Alpha (born 2010 onwards) and Generation Z (born mid-1990s to 2009). We’ll explore their worldview and attitudes towards faith and spirituality and discover what makes these tech-savvy, socially conscious generations tick. Learn practical tips on how to effectively connect, disciple and empower these generations within your ministry context.
Presenters: Dave Cairns, Executive Director of Covenant Pines Ministries; Phil Tolbert, Executive Director, Lake Beauty Bible Camp; Kaela Stano, Director, Covenant Park Bible Camp; Chadwick Persons, Camp Director, Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp
Imagine a world where your church did not do faith formation independently? It does exist. Your Covenant Camps desire to partner with local churches to foster evangelism, discipleship, character and leadership development as well as service opportunities … all important aspects of faith formation, regardless of age. Join the Executive Directors of Bluewater Covenant Bible Camp, Covenant Park Bible Camp, Covenant Pines Ministries and Lake Beauty Bible Camp as we discuss the unique ways camps and churches complement each other in faith formation. Bring your questions so we can learn together … and we’ll have some fun too.
The Annual Meeting is the highest constituted authority in the Northwest Conference (NWC), made up of delegates from member Covenant churches throughout the Conference. Delegates gather together for worship and fellowship, and to elect leaders, review finances, adopt a budget, and address the business of the Conference.
Delegates are appointed representatives from member Covenant churches. Delegates vote on the policies and procedures presented to the Annual Meeting. Delegates receive a packet of information that includes reports, statistics, ballot information, etc. They are also given the privilege of speaking during the meeting and voicing their opinion.
YES.
Advisors: Church plants that are not yet member churches may send 2 advisors. And members in good standing of the Ministerial Association that are not delegates may also be advisors. Advisors may address the body, answer questions, and make suggestions or comments, but an advisor cannot make motions or vote.
Registered Attendees may attend the Annual Meeting without officially representing a member church or a church plant that is not yet a member church. They are not allowed to voice their opinions, ask questions or vote.
Advisors and Registered Attendees should register as a Attender.
The number of delegates each church can send is based on membership as of Dec. 31, 2023.
0-49 members = 2 delegates
50-249 members = 3 delegates
250-499 members = 4 delegates
500+ members = 5 delegates
Delegates are invited to an orientation at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 27, prior to the business session. Basic Conference organizational structure and meeting protocol will be reviewed.
