Our theme this year is about fostering a healthy missional church culture within our region.
We are convinced that God desires for every church to be faithful and fruitful in its context.
Congregational Vitality is about God’s Spirit renewing peoples’ ability to notice and experience God in their midst, and partnering with God in achieving His purposes in the world.
This is why it is a NWC priority and something we are looking forward to exploring deeper together as we gather for our 2015 Annual Meeting.
Join us as we celebrate the many great things God is doing in and through the Northwest Conference and its churches and ministries.
John Wenrich serves as the Director of Congregational Vitality for the Evangelical Covenant Church. In that role he works with regional staff throughout North America to provide ministry resources, guidance, and support to established churches. John also speaks internationally on the topic of congregational vitality and leadership.
The “Celebration of Mission” Ministry Fair will take place throughout Friday afternoon of the 2015 Annual Meeting. Delegates and attendees will have an opportunity to learn about and interact with a whole host of conference-related ministries including representatives from our camps, Women Ministries, Covenant Trust Company, CHET and more.
We are fortunate to have many great authors in our Conference, and this year’s Annual Meeting and Ministry Fair will feature opportunities to learn more about their books, shake their hands, and perhaps take home a few new good reads!

The Annual Meeting is the highest constituted authority in the Northwest Conference (NWC), made up of delegates from member Covenant churches throughout the Conference. Delegates gather together for worship and fellowship, and to elect leaders, review finances, adopt a budget, and address the business of the Conference.
Delegates are appointed representatives from member Covenant churches. Delegates vote on the policies and procedures presented to the Annual Meeting. Delegates receive a packet of information that includes reports, statistics, ballot information, etc. They are also given the privilege of speaking during the meeting and voicing their opinion.
Yes. Registered attendees may attend the Annual Meeting without officially representing a member church. They are not allowed to voice their opinions, ask questions or vote. Registered attendees are also invited to participate in the Saturday leadership workshops. Everyone is welcome to participate in the worship sessions.
The number of delegates each church can send is based on membership as of Dec. 31, 2014.
0-49 members = 2 delegates
50-249 members = 3 delegates
250-499 members = 4 delegates
500+ members = 5 delegates
Delegates are invited to an orientation at 2 pm on Friday, April 17, prior to the business session. Delegates will be briefed on the basic Conference organizational structure and meeting protocol.
Registration can be done online or by mail.
We are honored to host the 2015 Northwest Conference Annual Meeting and to welcome you to this time of worship, thanksgiving, prayer, learning, fellowship and working together for the sake of the mission God has entrusted to us.
Throughout our 126 years, Salem Covenant Church has been committed to pursuing our God-given mission and to partnering with others like you to accomplish that mission through the ministries of our Conference and Denomination. Through these partnerships, we have been truly blessed in our life as a congregation and amazed at how God has empowered us together to accomplish abundantly far more in the world beyond our doors than any of our individual churches could have imagined on our own.
Thank you for your partnership and the privilege of hosting this significant gathering. Please, let any of us from Salem know if there is anything you need or any way we can assist you while you are here.
We have been praying for you and our time together, and are looking forward with great anticipation to what God has in store.
Your partners in Christ,
Pastor Mark Pattie and the congregation of Salem Covenant Church
