Serving as chair of a church leadership team is a high and holy calling, yet one very few feel equipped for. The Northwest Conference is offering an online cohort training for church chairs, facilitated by Superintendent Kara Stromberg and guest presenters. In partnership with the ECC and the Northwest and Pacific Northwest Conferences, a similar training was offered last fall. We have adapted and are now offering this training in a Zoom cohort model.

Registration will give you access to the online content, plus six sessions over Zoom with Superintendent Stromberg and other church chairs. We ask that you watch the assigned video content before the group meets, then join the Zoom call for discussion, Q&A and shared resourcing.
Who is this for? Anyone who serves as a church chair or vice chair.
The training is intended to provide a strong foundation for Lay Leaders who fulfill one of these key roles on their Leadership Team. We want to ensure board chairs are resourced in this role, so that Lay Leaders can work in partnership with pastors to move the mission of the church forward in healthy ways.
