The NWC Ministerial Association Retreat for pastors, church ministry staff and spouses, will be held Sept. 30 through Oct. 2, 2024, at Sugar Lake Lodge near Grand Rapids, MN.
After the intense tempo of September, it’s natural to feel a bit weary and breathless. This is your opportunity to slow down, nurture your soul, reconnect with colleagues, and savor the beauty of the northern Minnesota woods at Sugar Lake Lodge. Bring yourself, your spouse and your ministry staff to join us in worship, prayer, rest and to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
This year we are excited to have Dave Johnson as our retreat speaker. Dave has served as Senior Pastor at Church of the Open Door in Maple Grove, MN, for the last 38 years. He is the author of two books, “The Subtle Power of Spiritual Abuse” and “Joy Comes in the Mourning,” and is presently the Founder and Executive Director of Things that Remain a ministry dedicated to helping people “stay in it for the long haul.”
We are excited to have Dave share how we can deepen our faith, hope, and confidence in God and stay far from the trap of bitterness and cynicism.
The retreat costs can be found on the downloadable PDF Registration Form. All costs are per person. Costs cover housing for Monday and Tuesday evening, 5 meals, beginning with dinner on Monday and concluding with breakfast on Wednesday. Please register by Aug. 31, 2024.
Roommate Request: All parties need to request each other on their individual registration forms.
Scholarships Available: Having trouble finding the funds? The Ministerial Care and Development team is offering scholarships up to half your registration cost for the retreat. We don’t want the cost to stand in the way of connection.
Dietary Restrictions: Please note any dietary restrictions for the Lodge.
